Oh I’m so excited that this news has reached Korea and you could actually see the article in Korean portals! Kim Hyun Joong was in the Philippines last week for the Hi-Five event organized by Polyeast Records in the Philippines and to promote The Face Shop, the cosmetic brand he endorses.
Henecia Philippines also conducted a charity auction, the proceeds of which were donated to a charity they’ve been supporting (Abiertas). The winner of the auction is a 74-year old lady (let’s call her Mrs. R) who has been unconditionally taking care of her sick daughter. On her part, the daughter made sure that she’d win the auction so her mom could meet her favorite Korean star, Kim Hyun Joong. She even have a whole room in her house decorated with everything KHJ – from posters to other memorabilia. I wonder how many laser ink cartridges did she use to print posters and pictures of the Hallyu star. I know their story because I’ve corresponded with the daughter several times. They were also here in Korea last summer, but I couldn’t meet them since I had “myeonneuri” duties at that time.
Mrs. R met Kim Hyun Joong at The Face Shop event last week. One could see how happy she was meeting with KHJ. In return, KHJ gave her a very warm and sincere smile.
